The Geo IP Database in nBalance is a local IP-to-Country mapping database used by the Geo Restrict. nBalance references this database to determine the country of origin for each incoming public client IP address and then applies Geo Restrict (Allow/Deny) rules accordingly.
📄️ Internal Subnet
The Internal Subnet setting is a list of trusted private network ranges (your LAN/VPN/DC subnets). Its main purpose is to helps nBalance correctly identify traffic that originates from inside your organization so that security controls like Geo-Restrict don’t accidentally block your internal users.
📄️ Backend Server
Backend server contains the following fields:

This is the IP address that is presented to clients. Any packet arriving at the nBalance with that IP address and port number will be forwarded to the Real Servers associated with the Virtual Service.
